Expected login experience with ADFS
Might help if you give us example of the smart link you use.

link sent - Agree VasilMichev - it would seem that a change somewhere, either at AD FS or at the client browser; however, all the other SmartLinks (for Yammer, Outlook, SPO) they all still work fine. It is only the portal.office.com one that is broken.
There has been a heap of traffic on this site about other O365 login issues around the world today, but, they seem to be be for the Admin Centre

Yup, a separate issue today with the portal (and very similar one last Friday). But agaik nothing impacting this functionality has changed service-side, and in my case a very similar smart links seems to work just fine. Well, on a test tenant though, so dont take my word for it :)

trying again... obviously ammended the name of the domain. This smartlink has worked fine for the last 18 months providing a seamless SSO without any user intervention. We use it as a second tab to a locally hosted page when the browser is openned.
