EOP in Hybrid deployment
Hi All,
I have one hybrid configuration where i have 100 mailboxes in O365 & 250 mailboxes in Onprem. Now mx record is pointed to O365 EOP and mails are receiving / sending through O365 to both online users and onprem users. we have removed our old email security (Barracuda) after moving to hybrid.
My question is - can i continue this way to save the cost of Baraccuda or is there any problem from MS ? in EOP i have protected the domains instead of users. So basically all mails coming to specific domain will be filtered as per my understand.
Can someone provide more insight to this.

- Yes, it works however MX record point to on-premise Exchange \ Email gateway or Office 365 for hybrid, btw, please consider EOP is good enough, sometimes Microsoft Defender for Office 365 is recommended:
