Email Approval

I am the admin for Office365. I have one employee who gets an email from outside the agency that comes to me for approval. This address has been whitelisted. I have checked the employees settings. I do not find a cause. Again it is only from one particular person. It is a Yahoo account but others come in with no need for approval. I'm at a loss.

  • In that case it looks like you have a mail flow rule set to moderate messages sent to said employee. You can find those under the Exchange Admin Center > Mail flow. Alternatively, run a (detailed) message trace, it will show you which mail flow rules (if any) acted on the messages.

In case I'm wrong here and you don't have such rule, best post a screenshot of the message.

  • By "approval" do you mean you get a quarantine notification? Or a moderation request one? Or something else altogether?

Not a quarantine but one to just approve a release to the employee. If that makes snese? It has been a few weeks since this email has come from the other person.
