Domain not Available on Office 365, but not registered.

Hi,

 

We are looking at purchasing a domain for our company, and wanted to do it through Office 365 as we use outlook for our emailing. I note, however, that when entering the domain we want to check for availability, it comes back as already taken, but when I enter the same domain into au.godaddy.com, the domain is available. Can you let me know how to proceed from here as we want to register the domain through Office 365 Directly.

    I suggest to give them a ring and verify if the domain is already added to a tenant. You can try to reach them out via Contact%20support for business products - Admin Help . They might give an answer.
