Ah, sounds like a frustrating issue! It could be related to the new Outlook trying to sync with OneDrive when it's not needed for email accounts. You might want to try turning off OneDrive syncing temporarily or disable the "Sync with OneDrive" option during setup. Also, double-check your app password—sometimes resetting it and using the new one can help. If that doesn't work, try removing the account from the new Outlook and adding it again from scratch.
