Yeah, the new Outlook can be picky with Comcast accounts. What worked for me was skipping the automatic setup — go to Advanced Setup → IMAP, and enter the settings manually:
- Incoming: imap.comcast.net (port 993, SSL)
- Outgoing: smtp.comcast.net (port 587, TLS)
Then use your Xfinity app password, not your regular one. Also, make sure the “Sync with OneDrive” toggle is off during setup, that’s what causes the weird error. Once it connects, you can turn syncing back on if needed.
