change of subject

Hi experts

one of our application sends emails to users.  when the users receive the mail they see that  subject line gets modified as underscore gets removed. from the application it sends as Subject _XYZ when it reaches users mailboxes it is received as XYZ. Experts guide me to troubleshoot.

    This is probably best for a programming community. But depending on your application, if it's custom code, you need to use UTF-8 encoding for underscore: http://unicode-search.net/unicode-namesearch.pl?term=UNDERSCORE
