Attachments from incoming emails not opening, file extension is renamed

Hi Guys,

 

If you could help It would be amazing! I'm getting emails but can't open the attached files. I know the issue is on my end as it happens when different people from different domains send me any attachment. 

I have Office 356 Email (MS Exchange).

 

 

I tried downloading the file and renaming the extension, but it didn't help. 

 

Any tips?

    First of all, try closing Outlook and see what happens when a new message with attachment arrives in the webmail/OWA. If everything works OK there, run Outlook in safe mode (hold the CTRL key while launching it) and disable any AV and other types of scanning software. It's most likely some add-in acting up.

      Hi Vasil,

      thanks for the tip, launching in safe node doesn't help. I even tried reinstalling and nothing....
