September 11 Update: Issue with Achievement Code Creation

September 11 Update: it is apparent that this achievement code outage is now impacting most, if not all, Training Services Partners. The engineering team is working to identify where and how the issue grew so that we can properly plan a fix. Based on my knowledge of the situation this is a fix that will come in days, not hours. I will continue to update this thread each business day until we get all achievement codes back online. 

September 5 Update: Engineering is progressing on a fix. The soonest we would see proper functionality is end of next week (around the 12th). I will provide an additional update then. 

August 27 Update: Engineering is working on this and the right people are involved. Not to get too into the weeds, but it's a database migration issue across two distinct teams. They understand the urgency, and I'll bring you more updates as soon as I receive them. 

August 14 Update: The issue has been identified. I do not yet have a time to resolution to share but will update here when I know more. 

August 8 Update: We are aware there is an issue with newly onboarded partners attempting to access achievement codes for the first time. We are working on the issue but do not currently have timing on a solution. I will update here when more information becomes available. Thanks.

    Hi DanDonohue​ , We are also facing the same issue while code creation. we are TSP's from a very long time. Hope by tomorrow, it will get resolved.

    Hi DanDonohue​, as of today we experience the same issue. Six accounts, all no more capable of creating achievement codes. I hope it will be fixed soon so that we won't miss out on our achievement code KPI metric.

    Hi, DanDonohue​ ,

    We have been TSP for 2 years in 4 different countries and we are experiencing this issue in all our accounts since yesterday, the fix will include all the partners?

    We have been a TSP for a little over a year now and have lost access to creating achievement codes in MS Learn. Is this the same issue, or has the process changed? We have had no issue in the past

      Hi JJones_​ - thanks for letting me know. This issue may be bigger than just new admins. I'll pass that on to the engineering teams so they are aware.

        Since this affects our KPIs, what can be done as far as remediation since this is likely on Microsoft's side? I am sure you are well aware, we likely will not be able to get all students to redeem their achievement code several days(or weeks if it takes a while to fix) after the class ends. 

        We have so far had one class affected, although I am sure this will affect other TSPs too.

    DanDonohue​ - Do you have an update on this; we're all set for the trainings except this being a hold-up please assist.

      No update yet. There is development work underway, but I don't have an estimated date.
