PL-100: Microsoft Power Platform App Maker -- WILL BE RETIRING END OF JUNE!
This is not ideal for some of us. Do you know if a new certification will substitute PL-100? I'm studying to pass this exam but now I feel like it's a bit of a waste..

Microsoft
We are changing the skills validation experience and the credential to the Microsoft Applied Skills for the skills that are measured in PL-100; however, that does not mean that taking the certification is a waste of time. Achieving the certification is still valuable, and it will remain on your transcript (and anywhere you share it such as LinkedIn or your resume/CV) after the certification is retired. The retirement simply means that moving forward after June 30, 2024 people will use the Microsoft Applied Skills to validate and credential their skills at this level.
After achieving PL-100 OR the Microsoft Applied Skills, you can continue your learner journey and achieve the next milestone of PL-200 Power Platform Functional Consultant or PL-400 Power Platform Developer. Demand for people with Power Platform skills is ever increasing, and achieving all of these credentials is very worthwhile. - vladcatrinescuMay 22, 2024Copper ContributorThis will be replaced by three Applied Skills which cover most of the content the exam did. I talk about it in a video over here > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwSFhfwCi_0
