Hello with MAPS / LAPS retiring next year what is the process now to get LAPS ?
- Sep 05, 2024
Hi Donny, the Learning Action Pack (LAPs) is still available until January 21, 2025. After that point LAPs / MAPs will no longer be available. We suggest you explore the benefits package options that will remain including Partner Launch Benefits, Partner Success Core Benefits, and Partner Success Expanded Benefits. More information can be found in this blog update.
If you're referring to needing LAPs to stay in the Training Services Partner ecosystem, that is no longer a requirement. I've removed that requirement from our program documentation but perhaps did not make that clear on the last Community Call. Will address again on the September call.
You can consider LAPs optional at this point - it does provide far more value in licensing and Azure credit than the associated fee, so partners will still leverage while it is available. There is no current plan to have any of the new benefit packages be a prerequisite for future TSP ecosystem access.

This is NOT a solution. These remaining programs DO NOT offer anywhere like the services that MAPS did. They offer so called 'benefits' that are unwanted, and only cloud based access to applications. This is NOT what we need or want.
Non-Microsoft solutions may need to be used.

Hi MarkAtWIAC,
There are similarities and differences between the two benefits packages. I think it probably depends on the needs of the individual partner regarding the value of the new benefits.
What do you believe the new package is lacking? I want to support TSPs, so I'm happy to provide your feedback to the MSFT team that manages this aspect of the business.

Microsoft make the mistaken assumption that everyone ALWAYS has an internet connection, we don't.
We work in a lot of factories which might not offer contractors WiFi, and inside a massive faraday cage you cannot get 4G/5G signals.
Forcing cloud solutions on people, whether they want them or not is Profiteering, our company is moving away from cloud solutions since we have been bitten two many times by the instability of the policy.
We want the on metal software benefits of MAPS, this gave us security and stability.
We want the old stable versions of locally installed office applications, not the crap that fails every 5 minutes and has to be shutdown and re-opened.
And we don't want your AS garbage.

- anakar9Sep 20, 2024Copper ContributorHi Dan,
So how do we get access to MOC etc as New Partner (registered this week). And in that case how do we get to working to be a TSP.
In summary how can we access the MOC and request for labs, etc.
Thank you!- Julian_SharpSep 20, 2024Learn ExpertThere is no MOC, all courseware is on Microsoft Learn
