YEARFRAC does not work for me on mac

I do not know but for some reason, the YEARFRAC function that calculates age does not work in my Excel on mac, it returns the #Value! in my excel. Does anyone experience this and how did they solve this? Thanks.

    cha2812 That function works just like it does on the PC. Perhaps one of your dates (or both) are texts that just look like dates. That would trigger a #VALUE! error. Nothing Mac specific.

      I still get the #Value! so if possible could you show me how to correct this error.
