What is going on with the power function?

"POTENZA" is the "POWER" function.
Why isn't it working?

    Because the result is an imaginary number, not a real number.

    For example, -12^0,5 is equivalent to the square root of -12. Since -12 is negative, its square root is not a real number:

    (I use point as decimal separator)
