"We found a problem with some content in" Error applied to Vlookup

Hi hoping someone can help.

I have a large excel that contains multiple VLOOKUPS which look through multiple sheets of data to put together analysis depending on drop down choices.

If i open the file as the first file after starting excel it works perfectly.

If Excel is already open, opening said file will always trigger the "We found a problem with some content in" and auto-repairing the issue breaks all the VLOOKUPS.

How can i resolve this?
