Urgent please help me on me geography coursework

I used a visual housing survey to assess how housing differs across 2 areas- i ranked houses in each area in 4 categories - noise, exterior appearance, cleanliness and house plot size. I want to use a statistical test but idk which or how - PLEASE HELP BEFORE IT IS TO LATE - DUE IN TOMORROW

Combine the rankings from both areas for each category. Assign ranks to all houses combined. If two houses have the same rank (a tie), calculate the average of their ranks.

If your rankings are reasonably approximated to an interval scale (assuming equal spacing between ranks), you might consider an independent samples t-test. However, this is less common for ordinal rankings than the Mann-Whitney U test.
