Trying to ADD [sum the numbers] in non-contiguous cells but cell comments interfere.

I simply want to add a column of cells [not contiguous] using the formula of = in the that have comments associated with the cells. Can't do it because the comments keep interfering. I have to have the comments with the cells. Is this possible?

    Karen2240 Don't understand what you mean by "the comments keep interfering". Can you upload a file demonstrating what you want to achieve?

        OK, I figured out how to do it. I just have to go very slowly. Hover over the cell to let the comment appear, THEN click on the cell, the comment disappears, and press +.
