Trouble Uploading Excel Add In [Urgent]
Hi, I am working on a startup with my cofounder and we are having user testing very soon and need the add-in in the store. I have been trying for a couple days now to find out how to upload our excel add-in to the AppSource store for others to use.
I have been following this https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/add-ins/publish/publish, and have tried calling a few times to Microsoft support in which I was directed to post here.
I am stuck on this screen,
I have tried windows and xbox selection, in which I paid $20 for the individual creator and from there I am unable to find where to upload the add-in.
I also see the "To enroll in one of the following programs Sign in again using your work account." Every time I click sign in, it signs me out of my work account, and then prompts me to sign back in, in which it just takes me back to this screen.
Can someone please help me find the right place and steps to upload my excel add-in for approval?
Thanks
Bjorn

bbirkelund470 Since you are targeting Excel, you should be selecting the Microsoft 365 and CoPilot option.

JKPieterse Thanks for the reply. It seems that in order to do that you need a work account that has your domain assigned to a new tenant id
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/fundamentals/add-custom-domain
Unfortunately this has not been straightforward at all, and I am unable to even get this set up.
It is disabled for creating a new tenant, saying a subscription is needed (no instructions in the docs for this). From here, through more digging online and chatt ing with Microsoft copilot (since calling customer service on the phone isn't helpful, as they just direct you to the forums), I am of the impression that I need to sign up for the developer program in order to create this tenant. Upon trying to sign up I am getting this rejection message, which led me to find the original forum link I put at the start of this post.
I even went on to pay for a business account with 365, thinking this would remedy the subscription issue but no, still there. All I am trying to do is submit the add-in for review, why is this so difficult?
I would really appreciate some assistance on this. I have reached out to customer support twice by phone and made 2 posts on your online forums, both with no help. Currently quite disappointed without experience so far, hoping this can turn around.
- JKPieterseSilver ContributorAs far as I know you don't even need a 365 account to submit an add-in. You do need to sign up for the partner program but that accepts any valid Microsoft account as far as I know. The account I used to submit my two add-ins isn't a 365 account. My add-ins are hosted on my own website (any regular webhosting service will do!). It shouldn't be too difficult.
