the menu of recommended formulas is not displayed when you type the = making me have to write the entire formula without any recommendation

Go to "File" and then to "Options".
Select the "Advanced" tab and go down a few sections to "Display".
Here you activate the checkbox "Show editing line" and confirm with "OK".
