Table slicer (not pivot table) with selection from a cell value

I have a table full of rows of data about assets.  every asset is owner by a Manager.  I can easily put a slicer on the table to allow the Manager to see their data.  But there are over 350 Managers so all of the slicer buttons are unwieldy.

Is there a way to select the slicer value (ie which Manager) from either a filter or a cell value?
