Symbols
When I added a column for floor/level numbers to an existing sheet and I entered a number for the floor, a "Flag" symbol replaced the number

Hi johnmpace , It sounds like the column might have conditional formatting applied specifically an icon set that replaces numbers with symbols like flags.
This can happen if the sheet was previously set up to visually represent values using icons.
To fix this in Excel:
- Select the column showing the flag.
- Go to Home > Conditional Formatting > Manage Rules.
- Look for any rules applying icon sets (like flags) and either edit or delete them.
- Alternatively, you can clear all formatting by selecting the column and choosing Home > Clear > Clear Formats.
Once removed, your numbers should display normally.
