=SUM(VLOOKUP) - Thoughts? Needed ASAP :( HELP!
Hello,
I've been asked to complete the following Using the VLOOKUP formula, pull the total number of units from the "Data" tab into the cells... Well, I'm trying =SUM((VLOOKUP)) with no luck, I've tried {=SUM((VLOOKUP))} - I don't even know if this is possible and why not use a SUMIF?? I know how to use a VLookup, SUMIF, SUMIFs; I feel like I"m missing something obvious or this is a trick exercise.. Maybe an excel issue..

=SUMPRODUCT(--($A$8:$A$21=A3)*$B$8:$B$21)
Maybe with this formula as shown in the attached file.
