Subtracting time from Elapsed time
Trying to use Excel for a Timesheet.
Cell A5 = 8:30am Cell A7 = 5:00pm Cell A9 = 0.5
Formula = TEXT(A7-A5, “h”)-A9
This is giving me a total work time of 7.5 which is incorrect and should be 8.
Can someone shed any light on this?

That's like
=(A7-A5)*24-A9and apply General or Number format. One hour in Excel is equal to 1/24.
