Stock Data Types Wont Refresh - Provides Erroneous Error Message
I have an Excel workbook I created a few months ago and this afternoon while I was away, the "stocks" data type refresh feature stopped refreshing. The error message I receive instructs me to sign in to an account associated with this product (Excel), but I am clearly signed in. To be sure, I sign out and sign back in. Hit 'refresh' and receive the same error message. MS tech support tried to make a manual repair during a chat session, but it still will not refresh. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

forbisher I've been having this issue since yesterday. It's not the first time this has happened, but this is the longest I've seen the stock service being down. I can't believe it is still not fixed. Here is the last time my spreadsheet updated (Central Time).
AAPL 7/10 13:44 $ 190.68 $ 188.42 - FredwardCopper ContributorYup 1:42 pm yesterday for me. All around the same time, depending on how often your SS is set to update.
- apal13Copper ContributorClearly a bug that's affecting lots of people. Started for at the same time as everyone else (Jul 10 afternoon). Looking for to a response from MS support!

I talked to CS this morning. They still have no idea as to when it will be fixed but are aware of the problem and are working on it.

forbisher - same issue here, major impact on my financial models. Come on MSFT, please fix it - adrien172hotmailcomCopper Contributor
I contacted Microsoft about this yesterday.
A rep took control of my screen, but was unsuccessful finding the issue.
I was passed on to an Excel Tech person and that person admitted that Microsoft was doing some work to the back end and did not have an ETA for resolution.
I was hoping it would be resolved this morning, but it is not...
Good luck everyone! - Rick_SanchezCopper ContributorI called the CS today, they said that their engineers is trying to fix it

Same issue here. I am logged into my Microsoft Onedrive and Office 365 account. yesterday afternoon July 10 at approximately 1400 ET the stock data ceased to function. I did a complete reinstall of Microsoft Office 365 to no avail. As a test I uploaded the file to my Onedrive and opened in Excel online and the file functions correctly. I closed Excel on my MacBook Desktop AFTER logging out of my account, reopened, logged back into the same account I use for trying the file in Excel online and I receive the same error :
I HAVE NEVER used Excel online - this file was created on my MacBook and I have updates it there daily for many months without issue. : COULDN'T REFRESH DATA TYPES You need to be online ...
I have no Internet or network issues all other apps and connections function without issue. OneDrive on MacBook function without issue using same account as Excel.
- CGBakerCopper ContributorI am having the same problem. I've tried all the recommended solutions I found online and nothing has worked. My stock data still won't refresh. I'm out of ideas. Has anyone tried anything that has worked consistently for multiple people? So frustrating!

CGBaker I'll be BEYOND shocked if anything other than an UPDATE/PATCH from MS fixes this issue. So, that makes it all the more FUN that MS is so far IGNORING the issue.
