Set cell value to the date in cell above if current cell's date is blank

I have dowloaded a csv file from my accounting package of invoices for customers which includes, among other information, the date of the invoice.  When opening the csv in Excel, if an invoice has more than one line item, only the first line item has the date populated in the relevant cell (format of cell automatically set to 'Date' format), while all other rows for that same invoice have no date and cells automatically formated to 'General' format.  Is there a formula I can use that will populate the cells that are blank with the date value of the cell that has a date?  For clarification, there are many customers with many invoices in the csv.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

A possible solution could be Power Query. In the attached file you can enter the data from the csv file into the blue dynamic table. Then you can click in any cell of the green table and right-click with the mouse and select refresh to update the green result table.
