Hi, My excel is ignoring the third argument of the SEARCH function =SEARCH (find text, within_text, start number) It ignores the start number argument.. Ex. in EXAMPLE, if I ask to sea...
It's correct behavior. SEARCH starts looking for P from 3rd position and returns absolute position of the found text within string.
Try EPAMPLE, with your sample SEARCH returns 5 as well. However, if you take 1 as start number it returns 2.
