School Master Calendar
- Nov 13, 2024
The formulas in rows 3, 5, 7, etc. on the December tab use 11 as month number. That should be 12 for December.
The two sheets for November work correctly as far as I can tell - what exactly is wrong according to you?
That looks like a good start to what I'm hoping for. The color coding is only going to the date, though, not the events. It would be GREAT if the color coding went to each event on a given day--BUT if that can't happen, it probably shouldn't be included on the monthly view at all.
This calendar works by placing all events for a day in the same cell. It is not possible to apply different colors to different lines in a cell.
An alternative might be to split each day into multiple cells. That would require the template to be reworked.

Really appreciate your (speedy) assistance!
What about this thought....If there is a master sheet with everything listed, and I only use two "categories" of "Event" and "Facility Reservation," is it possible to have a "November Facility Reservation" sheet that those items populate to and a "November School Calendar" (as an example) for those items to populate to? This would essentially give us an events calendar and a facility reservation calendar.

I split the January and November sheets so that you can see whether you like it and how it works.
If so, you can do the same for the other months.

Sorry, 2 more questions.
- Can I take the highlights off of the monthly view calendar since they are no longer pertinent to the items posted on that calendar?
- How do I "rinse and repeat" for adding additional months?
With this set up, our calendar will run based on calendar year, not school year, so my currently calendar will finish out 2024 and then I'll start a new spreadsheet for 2025 to start in January. That said, Once I have a full year set up, I will be able to just "Save As" and give it a new name and then make necessary adjustments from there.

I'll see what I can come up with
