I'm unable to use HSTACK in my version. Is there any alternate option you can help with. Thanks in advance.
What version of Excel do you run?

With 365 you should have HSTACK. The following does it instead:
=IF( {1,2,3,4} <= 3, Table, INDEX( IF( Table[Date] < MAX( Table[Date] ), "Close", "Open" ), SEQUENCE( ROWS( Table ) ), 1 ) )- Can we get a result with regular formula instead of converting into tables as I need to incorporate this slice with another part of formula.
