Best way to get rolling 12-month totals
I am using Excel for Mac version 16.102. I have data in a Table which is basically date, category & value. There are many other columns I use for filtering. I pivot this data to get totals by month...
I agree with you in general. You can take a look at a simplified example of his pivot table using the link he finally provided down below. My reaction there, which you can also see, is that he's made it far more complicated than it needs to be. I love Pivot Tables, for the most part, but haven't myself used them with slicers and the like; only with some high level filters.

This site seems to be getting flaky! I can't always post and sometimes attached files get discarded. I also preferred the days when the entire discussion was laid out chronologically. At least @ is showing parties to the current discussion today. See whether my 12 Month Total file appears this time around.
