Question Regarding XLookup/Numbers Stored as Text

-Some of the identifiers do have a mix of letters, numbers, some all numbers, Do I still not need the apostrophe?
-What I'm really confused on is why excel is registering the unedited column differently than the edited one. The values in both are exactly the same. Is there a format on the cell that I'm missing?

- The data came from a client pre-formatted with the apostrophes, and there's a ton of them already in there, but their formatting isn't consistent across different sheets that needed to reference each other. Someone added a substitution to the xlookup that circumvented the issue so that will work for me! Thank you again!
