Query related to drop down
Hello Everyone,
I have created dropdown list with the help of Name Range.
So, how to add custom sort rule like when the new value added to list means it should not go and sit at bottom but instead it should be placed under its first letter value ?
Here is a attached file.
Excel Well, since you are working with an outdated Excel version it's not going to be more dynamic than that. At least, not when you want to add new entries at the bottom of the table. Consider entering new car makes at the top then. Right-click on the first cell in the Car column.

Excel If your Excel version supports Dynamic Arrays use the SORT function on a column in a structured table that contains the cars.

Excel Then just point the data validation list to the Cars column in the table and Sort that column. Then the dropdowns will be in the same order and the list will automatically expand when you add cars at the bottom of the table.
