Problem with excel data
Hi I have a little big problem. I want to optimise my work ( a bit lazy person :D)
I need to fill up some data many times a day and want to automatize this process.
I created 2 sheets. One is a monthly register sectioned in days, and the second one is a sheet where my data is pasted and assigned to relevant cells. I want to merge these two sheets but there is a little problem. I don't want to create one sheet with big data (monthly is many rows of data) but I want to paste it for example at 7 AM on Monday and in the exact place paste my new data for example Wednesday and I do not want to my data from Monday disappear.
Do you have any pro tips or just maybe direct me to the solution?
Thanks in advance

Since by your own admission you need help, I hope you can accept some help that disagrees with some of your opening premises. For example, you seem to think that one big sheet would be a terrible idea, but I'm going to assure you that one big sheet probably would be the best way to handle this, letting Excel take care of splitting it into separate days for summarizing or reporting or reviewing or whatever.
What you're describing is taking a "do it on paper ledger sheets" mentality or framework and transferring it to the computer. But when you do that you're not letting the computer do what it does best.
So, if you're willing to reconsider some of your opening lines, let's begin by asking you to back up and be more descriptive regarding all of this data that you need to collect and enter many times a day.
- What is the data that could fall under the category of "Input"? Please be as complete and specific as would be needed to get an understanding of "the big picture"
- What needs to happen to that data once collected? Do you have to summarize it for reporting purposes? Something else? Said another way, what's the expected or required "Output"?
