Problem with Chart Axis in Excel
My chart axis shows only every other date, rather than every consecutive date that I want.

Not necessarily in answer to your issue but I started with your question looking for help with my own problem. In making a chart, I selected my data correctly and the chart appeared to display okay. But the x-axis was simple numbers rather than dates. I tried changing the axis to dates and whenever, I did the data disappeared from the chart. I tried everything I could think of and looked for help online but nothing worked. I finally examined the date data in my first column and noticed that one of my dates didn't quite line up with the other dates. I could not see what was causing the difference so I simply re-typed in the date and bingo! the chart displayed correctly. This drove me crazy for two days. Hope this helps someone else.
Please double click on axis to format it and check the units. If 2 days change on 1 day.

That was the first thing I checked. Major Units is set at 1 day.
And axis is not text? can you apply custom format to dates in axis formatting?

If all the dates in your data set are not being reflected in axis, you should try to increase the width of the chart.

Subodh_Tiwari_sktneer yeah, I thought about the width, but that didn't affect it. Neither is it the number of units in the Format Axis window. the Major Units is set to 1 day. I'm still stumped.

What if you change the axis type to Text axis?
Also, right click the chart and choose Select Data and in there make sure that the horizontal axis is correctly set for all the series, if not, edit the horizontal axis for each series in the chart to use data in date column.
