Problem Using Excel For Website
Hi.
I am having trouble working out what is wrong with my excel products price list/spreadsheet sheet for my ecommerce website.
I am using the 2019 Excel version.
The product description shows in the viewing pane of excel properly but when I upload to the website, there seems to be no formatting and all the data uploads as a single line of text.
Can anyone please help me with what may be causing this.
I am also getting this _x000D_ showing up on some product descriptions from the same spreadsheet.
Please see an example below.
Thanks.
Should be like this when uploaded to website
.
• 8 Strand nylon rope spliced to calibrated short link galvanised chain.
• Short link metric chain to suit anchor winches.
Description:
Rope Diameter: 12mm
Rope Length: 50m
Chain Length: 10m
Chain Diameter: 6mm
But it shows like below on website.
• 8 Strand nylon rope spliced to calibrated short link galvanised chain._x000D_ • Short link metric chain to suit anchor winches. Description: Rope Diameter: 12mm Rope Length: 50m Chain Length: 10m Chain Diameter: 6mm

- JKPieterseSilver ContributorI am guessing your "Excel file" is in fact uploaded to the website as a CSV file? If so, probably the delimiter of the CSV is not according to the website's expectations.

I have the file in CSV and XLSX and they both do the same thing.
- JKPieterseSilver ContributorWhat file format does your website need? Can you upload a sample file in both xlsx and csv to here which only contains som fictituous data (just 2 product rows would suffice)
