Pivot Table Conditional Formatting based on original table data

I'm trying to apply conditional formatting for dates in a pivot table, based on information from the original table. is this possible.

I want the date on the pivot table to be formatted based on the original table's "Status" column. I've tried conditional formatting with a formula, using vlookup, but not having any luck. happy for any other suggestions.
