Just an update to whoever reads this: still no solution, running latest available Version 2408 as of 19 JAN 2025. I keep searching the web for solution from time to time and there is nothing. This bug is not addressed at all - same generic answers with each same/similar thread and no working solution.
I have the same issue and can't find a solution either. I'm having to manually re-add photos every time I open the workbook which is not helpful when I'm tracking budgets for clients with photos and sometimes have 50+ items. microsoft please help
