Non-active references to text formated cells
- Nov 16, 2018Is calculation set to manual by any chance? Formula tab, Calculation options drop-down.
Hello,
Apparenty the problem is related to some security settings. The file works fine in my wife's computer where she has 'native' excel as delivered from Microsoft. While it does notwork in my laptop where we have corporate software neither it works in my computer at home where I use one of 3 free licences of MS office which I get as a prt of a deal between Unilever and MS. In my wife's computer the links activate only after enabling editing (the message from 'trust center'). I get the same message, enable editing, but satill nothing happens. Is there any setting which disables automatic execution of references (or other formulas) which I miss except for Formulas>Calculation Options > Automatic?

I don't know why this happens for you, but given that other systems don't exhibit this behaviour I would advise to contact your IT dept and ask for a re-install of Office. If that fails it may be necessary to delete your user profile from your machine (ask for a backup of your data first!!!!).

Then miracle happens and all referenced cells are filled with the data :D.
Is there a way to change some settings in the file/excel to avoid it?
