No STOCKHISTORY for companies no longer listed?

Is it true STOCKHISTORY can't return data for stocks that are not currently listed? I'd like to calculate the value of my portfolio at various times in the past when I owned stocks that are no longer listed. STOCKHISTORY appears to return #VALUE for those stocks even for dates when they were listed. Panera Bread Co. (PNRA) in 2015 is an example.
