New formulas like FILTER and UNIQUE not appearing on macOS
Make Sure Excel is Fully Updated
You're on 16.82, which is relatively recent, but an update might be required for dynamic arrays.
Check for updates:
Open Excel.
Click Help > Check for Updates.
Run Microsoft AutoUpdate and install any available updates.
If not works…
macOS Version May Be a Limitation
You’re on macOS Monterey (12.6.6), and Microsoft does state that some newer Excel features require macOS 13 or later.
If you can, update to macOS 13 or 14 and check if that enables the missing functions.

Hope this will help you.
Hello there, thank you for the reply. Unfortunately there is no "Check for updates" option under Help. I have however checked in the app store if there is a more recent version, and indeed 16.94 is available but it says "Requires macOS 13". I'd rather not update to the newer macOS versions because my MacBook pro is getting old and I feel like it gets more sluggish with every version. Ideally I'd like to know from which versions FILTER and UNIQUE are supported, because like you said, my Excel is fairly recent, so I'm surprised they don't appear.
