Need help with building data validation list/filters
Hi All,
I am trying to build a new report on top of my existing(already present in one of the sheets in excel) data. The existing(source) data looks like below:
I would want the output to look like below :
I would need to build drop down filters to filter the data for a selected state/area. And the data should be filtered as shown above - one row per option ID. The selections should be provided as drop-downs next to the options column. The only trick is that the relevant colors should appear based on the selections made above. For Eg: Color is dependent on the level data (See data for dependency on the selection ID's). So only "Brown" should appear in the drop-down for color when I select "Level1" in the above drop-down for Level. Also, I would want the output to be on another new sheet instead of the existing one. Is all of this possible in Excel?

It sounds like you want dependent Data Validation.
Regarding outputting to a new sheet, you could select all, then Go to (F5) > Special > Visible cells only > Copy/Paste.
