Need help to find grouped rows Excel
I have a problem with grouping in the pivot table. When I group a few rows, those rows totally disappear. I tried different methods to find them but haven’t been successful yet.
For context, there are several worksheets and several pivot tables in my file and I have groups working very well in other worksheets. The groups I am making are mutually exclusive, so a group in one worksheet is different from a group in another worksheet.
I’m not sure, and appreciate anyone willing to help me on this. Thanks in advance.

Alex2420 Please upload a file that demonstrates your problem. Quite difficult to help based on your description alone.
- Alex2420Copper ContributorSorry, can’t share the file because of sensitive data. I may have to create another one just to demonstrate. It is basically like this.
I see 81 rows in one sheet. I need to group them into four. When I make the first group of 8, I don’t see any of them or the title ‘group’. When I make all the four groups, all rows disappear.
Now I used a filter by label in the beginning. I think that might be causing the problem as I still see the filter is active. I can’t delete the filter.- Riny_van_EekelenPlatinum Contributor
Alex2420 Please do an example without sensitive data.
