Multiplying a column by a constant problem

Hi there,&nbsp;I am trying to inflate a series of numbers by 3% in excel.&nbsp;I am doing this by multiplying by 1.03&nbsp;I applied this formula to the first cell in a column and have done the calculation.&nbsp;The problem is every time I try applying this formula to all the cells in a column it just duplicates the value in the first column.&nbsp;I have tried special pasting with formulas only. Doesn't work.I have checked the Calculation Options and set it to both Manual and Automatic. Doesn't work.&nbsp;I have checked advanced options has enabled fill handle and cell drag and drop. Doesn't work.This is really frustrating, can someone please help?&nbsp;

Do it like this:

Enter 1.03 in an empty cell.
Select that cell and copy it.
Select the target range.
Right-click in the selection and select Paste Special... from the context menu.
Alternatively, click the lower half of the Paste button on the Home tab of the ribbon and select Paste Special... from the dropdown menu.
Click Special.
Select Multiply.
Click OK.
Clear the cell in which you entered 1.03.
