Microsoft Excel sorting by date
I am having a terrible time sorting data by date. I have attached a sample along with how each column is formatted. Please Help. Yok33

Yok33 Alternatively, insert a blank row between the yellow and the green. Select E8 and then Sort to end-up with this:

The problem is that by default, Excel treats the yellow row as header row instead of the green row.
As a workaround, select the range that you want to sort: D6:G17 (or D7:G17).
Use the Tab key to select a cell in the date column, then sort.
