Is there a way to lock a cells background color regardless of cut and paste?

Hi guys. So I'm working on a spreadsheet currently where I would like to protect a cells orange background color, but otherwise allow editing. Right now any time I copy another cell of a different color and paste it into the orange cell it changes the background color of the orange cell. 

Is there any way to avoid this?
