Is it possible to indent text within a spreadsheet cell?
For example by changing cell boundaries.
Thank you.
Excel isn't a Word processor :). Though, you can Indent with:
With your sample, select cells with a., b.,...f. and click the above icon (you can click several times)

Another standard approach is to use 2 or 3 narrow columns and inset the text simply by placing it in the adjacent column. Naturally the View would be set to hide Gridlines.
- Clive_BeardmoreCopper ContributorThank you Peter, I am using that, however the formatting is long winded so I was looking for something quicker, which has been suggested on another answer,
Thank you

You're welcome Clive_Beardmore
Note that you can also do it with Custom cell styles
- mathetesSilver ContributorWhether it is or is not, in Excel, if what you're working with is text along the lines of your example, why not simply use Word, where there is a LOT more available vis-a-vis formatting? Word's tables give you all that Excel does in terms of cells, rows and columns, and with far more flexibility.
Or is there something else in your situation, beyond what you're showing and asking about, that requires it to be Excel?- Clive_BeardmoreCopper Contributor
Thanks but a spreadsheet is vital for this task I have.
