if then help

This is the formula I am using, but after I click enter it stays empty.

=IF(A2<=500,"1","0")

  1. In both tabs of the new Excel file, fill in the new ‘Comments’ column with the following:
    1. If the ‘Org ID’ field is ≤500, fill in the corresponding ‘Comments’ field with “1”
    2. If the ‘Org ID’ field is >500, fill in the corresponding ‘Comments’ field with “0”

    The formula you are using is correct, so far I can see.

    However, it seems that the cell is empty after you click enter.

    This could be due to the cell being formatted as text.

    You can try changing the format of the cell to ‘General’ or ‘Number’ and then enter the formula again.

    If this does not work, you can try copying the formula to another cell and see if it works there.

    Another possibility is if the cell stays blank, it may be because the cell the formula is referring to is blank.

    In the End it is not clear what you mean by “it stays empty”.

    Could you please provide more information about the problem you are facing?

    ...if the problem is not solved with the suggestions above :).

    Thank you for your understanding and patience
