IF statement
Conditional formatting in other cells
Highlight the cell or range you want Choose
“Home > Conditional Formatting < New Rule” Select “
Use a formula to determine which cells to format”
Click in the cell under “Format values for which these values are true”
Enter =B2=”” Click on “Format” and select the “Fill” tab, choose a fill color
Enter OK...and ready!

If I may recommend, please attach a file and explain step by step what you intend to do.
It could be that some "like me" 🙂 🙂 can't understand it.
Or use a picture (please with column and line numbers) to explain step by step what you intend to do.
Please keep in mind that only you can see your digital environment, so it would also be an advantage if you would provide information on the Excel version, operating system and storage medium.
