I want help with excel date alerts

so  I want to put alerts for dates of expiration for passports and licenses 
when there is only one year left I want the colour of the cell to turn blue when there are only 6 months left I want the colour of the cell to turn green when there are only 3 months I want the cell to turn yellow when there is only one month I want it to turn red.
