i want a way that excel read name from notepad file and mark students present for a particular date
i want a way that excel read name from notepad file and mark students present for a particular date.
at our institution we get a notepad file with the name for the students who have attended the session n we have to keep the record of their daily attendane in excel.
currently i have to check names from notepad and mark present against that paticular student name in excel file
is there any way to do it directly ?

- yes it is possible. excel is a mapping equation type of application. the location of the dataset in the spreadsheet dictates which formula functions can be used. Without knowing how your dataset is arranged in the spreadsheet, no one will know specifically what formula functions to suggest you use. you have to share the geography of the dataset in your spreadsheet.
