How to lock formulas
How do I protect cells with formulas in them? I have a sheet that adds up values in columns and rows and I don't want to accidently enter vales into the cells with formulas. Column F and Row 11 ha...
Select the cells you want not protected - protection on is default.
Press Ctrl+1 (or select Home: [Cells] Format: Format cells...)
Tab Protection
Uncheck Locked
Select Review: [Protect:] Protect Sheet
NB. you do not have to add a password string
That's it. You may now use tab key to move between unprotected cell.
And... before protecting the sheet, you may also use Home: Cell Styles to hint about which cells are calculated and which are for input.
