How to add currency values in microsoft excel?

I was testing to add currency values in dollar currency and did not get proper results?What is the reason and how do you solve this?&nbsp;&nbsp;$10,000$20,000$0.00`=SUM(I25:I26)&nbsp;You can see the formula in 4th row. Why is the SUM formula not working as expected? I also formatted the cell as currency.&nbsp;&nbsp;I want to add values in dollar currency. How do I do it?&nbsp;

swapnilbawane&nbsp;J25 and J26 are probably text. SUM() ignores text.Check with ISNUMBER() orf ISTEXT().&nbsp;

You are right. I tried to format the cell to number or currency still it gives text as TRUE value for ISTEXT. Why is this? What am I missing out and please provide a solution to add currency values. I am using Microsoft Excel 2013 edition.
